Before we get started, please refer to Rappunk23's recent notice on group developments here as he covers the majority of the changes that the group will be undergoing today including a Gallery reshape, a revamped Critique system as well as annual prompts!

First thing's first, we're still looking for more staff members. We have over 200 positions, which means that there are literally hundreds of opportunities for anybody and everybody to get involved in the group! If you're interested click here to have a look at just what kind of people we need. If you think that you might be interested, click here for an application template. Just make sure to check if the position is still open here!

Gallery Re-model
As for the Gallery reshape, refer to Rappunk23's development notice linked above for a comprehensive explanation. But put simply, we're adding plenty of folders to encompass the variety of formats of Literature that we receive here at Written-Imagination. This will make it easier for curious deviants to browse our gallery and find what they want as easily as possible. Submitting to this new gallery is as easy as submitting your piece to it's appropriate folder, for example a Free Verse poem will go into the Free Verse Poetry folder.

Critique System
We have high hopes for our new critique system - explained in Rappunk23's development notice above - but unfortunately it may not run at full capacity until we have more Critics dedicated to the role. We understand that you would all like to receive the quality feedback that we offer here, we just need some more people devoted to giving feedback. If you're happy to give some helpful comments, or even full Critiques, have a look at the Critic and Commenter Positions Available.

Prompts
We know how hard it can be to get a hold of that creative spark sometimes, so we have been compiling a list of prompts. But in the typical Written-Imagination style, we're aiming to create prompts that aren't ordinary. Already we have been creating a list of general prompts, but on top of that we're aiming to have a list of prompts that ask you, the Writer, to use a particular format or technique!
We're not going to hog all of the ideas though, so we want YOU to come up with some prompt ideas of your own! Just comment with your prompt and whether or not it has to be written with a particular format or technique. You will, of course, be credited for your prompt if it gets added to the list, so start churning out those ideas!
See the end of this post for the current list of prompts.

March Contest
Thanks to our new Contest Organizer MoonliteMeadows we have a Contest Prompt ready for you all!

When Life is Still
An interpretation of what your life would look like if you could take a step back and 'take a snapshot' of it, or if you could stop the time on your life and everything is frozen, what would it look like? Would it be crazy, boring? Would it be passing you by, or are you ready to move forward? Are you lost in it, or is it lost on you? That kind of gist.

This is a pretty free form contest, so in any Literature format or style you want respond to this prompt. Have your entries in by the 19th of March at which point our two Competition Judges - LionesseRampant and blt2293 - will decide which entry responded the best. We're looking for originality and a unique take on the prompt, so don't be afraid to really go for it!

So if you have any questions whatsoever, do not hesitate to ask either myself, Rappunk23 via note. Alternatively just comment here with any questions and we'll make sure to answer them!

what about a prompt regarding "road trips" or soul searching, if it's not in that list?
